Mark is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience working in and consulting to the public sector in the UK and Australia. In his early career, Mark advised on some of the earliest education PFI projects with Deloitte Consulting and also project managed one of the earliest PFI health projects with West Lothian NHS Trust. Mark then helped to establish a successful infrastructure advisory practice for Deloitte in Australia.
Mark subsequently became a partner with Ernst & Young in Australia, responsible for their Queensland Infrastructure and Government Services advisory practice and then in 2008 joined Queensland Health as Programme Director of Australia’s largest hospital PPP programme.
In 2012 he co-founded a successful Australian public sector project and transaction management consultancy called Calcutta Group which continues to grow and thrive to this day. Mark returned to Scotland in July 2015 and established Redpoll Group, a public sector programme and project management consultancy.
